Fresno man tries to meet child for sex, gets arrested, officials say

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attempting to meet a child for sexual purposes, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officials said members of the Central Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force made contact with the suspect on Thursday, identified as Brock Sanders, 32, of Fresno, who has an outstanding warrant for contact with a child for sexual purposes.

Sheriff’s officials say they are still investigating whether the man was able to meet the minor.

Investigators said they confiscated one of his electronic devices, which contained digital photos and videos depicting child sexual abuse.

Deputies said the man was arrested but has since been released from prison on bail.

Authorities would like to remind parents to be vigilant about their children’s use of websites and social media and advise them to maintain dialogue with their children to build trust.
