Reporter who scared Caitlin Clark was suspended and banned from attending live games

Experienced sports reporter from Indiana Gregg Doyle was punished after it went viral Caitlin Clarks Introductory press conference.

Two weeks ago when Clark was introduced to the media Indiana feverDoyel startled the WNBA star when he gave her a heart-hand gesture.

Doyel immediately faced backlash from fans calling for his firing after the Clark clip went viral on social media.

Apparently Doyel did not cover a game this season as he was suspended from his newspaper, The Indy Star, and was forced to watch Fever games at home for the remainder of the season.

Gregg Doyel, the Indianapolis Star columnist who was harshly criticized for his actions during Caitlin Clark’s inaugural press conference on April 17, is in the midst of a two-week suspension imposed by the Star’s owners, Gannett, and the Star itself there are several sources.

He will not attend any Fever games this summer but will continue to write columns about the team by watching TV from home.

Despite his suspension, the Indy star is still receiving criticism for how he handled the Doyel/Clark situation.

Doyel apologized to Clark immediately after the incident in a bizarre article that was also criticized by fans.
