Several Houston-area school districts closed Friday due to storm damage

Severe storms that hit Houston Thursday afternoon caused extensive damage and scattered debris across the city. This caused several school districts to cancel classes on Friday.

Houston ISD announces the closure of all 17 campuses Friday due to damage around the city.

ISD Spring Branch
Aldine ISD
Galena ISD Park
Crosby CIO
Klein ISD
Waller ISD

Katy ISD says some campuses will be closed due to power outages, but the district will remain open. Katy High School is among those closed tomorrow. The list of closures is on the district’s Facebook page.
