Wood County man charged with alleged child sex crimes

WOOD COUNTY, Ohio – A Wood County grand jury on Thursday indicted a man on charges of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

Charles Griffith, 44, of Luckey, was charged with 10 counts of sexual assault and one count of distributing material harmful to minors.

According to Perrysburg District Court records, Griffith is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with the minor he knew and touching her inappropriately.

The accuser told investigators on April 30 that Griffith began touching her sexually “about a year ago” and last did so “about a month ago.” She also told investigators that Griffith touched her sexually “more than five” times.

Griffith is being held in the Wood County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
