Charlottesville man dead after shed falls on him

Witnesses in the Belmont neighborhood reported seeing a gathering of fire engines and first responders near the intersection of Monticello and Blenheim avenues Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the man was moving the shed when it fell over, crushing him.

Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man died from his injuries at the scene of the accident on Thursday.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity but said an investigation into the matter was ongoing.
