Increased police presence at Sapulpa Middle School as social media conversations investigated | News

SAPULPA, Okla. – Sapulpa Public Schools released a statement on Facebook Thursday informing the public that police and school resource officers are investigating social media and text message conversations.

The district said there are no credible threats to the school community at this time.

As an added precaution, there was an increased presence of school resource officers and local law enforcement at Sapulpa Middle School on Friday.

The district shared the following statement in part.

“The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our top priority and we thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate this situation together.”
