Trump attacks Kamala Harris at rally in Minnesota

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke in Minnesota on Saturday, offering a new insult to his likely 2024 opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Speaking to about 8,000 people in St. Cloud, Trump said Harris was “the new victim” after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

After using the Republican National Convention to express gratitude for Trump’s survival of an assassination attempt and to criticize the Biden administration’s tenure, Republicans must now find a way to direct their attacks at Harris. Democrats, on the other hand, have quickly settled on labeling Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, as “weird.”

Here’s how Trump spoke about his likely opponent at a weekend rally in Minnesota:

Trump’s campaign speeches lasted more than 90 minutes and he continued to attack Democrats over Biden’s mental state. He also criticized Harris for immigration problems at America’s southern border, calling her the “border czar.” A USA TODAY fact check found that claim to be false as it exaggerates her role.
