Man who sexually assaulted 12-year-old British Columbia girl sentenced to 32 years in UK prison

A man convicted of sexually abusing and molesting several young girls, including a 12-year-old from Surrey, British Columbia, has been sentenced to 32 years in prison in England.

According to a news report, 29-year-old Kevin Brock was arrested in the British city of Cambridge in February and convicted last month of offenses including sexual communication with children, rape, sexual assault, possession of indecent images of children and charges related to online grooming in Cambridge Independent.

Investigators examined Brock’s electronic devices and discovered child sexual abuse materials and evidence of contact with hundreds of underage girls via TikTok and Snapchat, police said.

Surrey RCMP said they were contacted by Cambridgeshire Constabulary in April and helped identify a local victim who Brock had groomed and incited to engage in sexual activity.

“Online sexual exploitation is a crime without borders,” RCMP Staff Sgt. Rochelle Kokkoris said in a news release.

“Surrey RCMP is committed to working with international law enforcement partners to investigate these crimes and ensure young people are protected online.”

According to Mounties, Brock’s crimes included fisticuffs against two children in the United Kingdom
