Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathap and Mathew Thomas sustain injuries in a car accident during filming

Five actors, including Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathap and Mathew Thomas, were injured in a car accident in Kochi when their car collided with two motorcycles while shooting for their upcoming film Bromance.

“Bromance” actors stumble in car accident

In a shocking turn of events, five people, including well-known actors Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathap and Mathew Thomas, were injured in a car accident in Kochi.

The tragic incident took place on July 16 at 1:30 am on the sets of their upcoming film Bromance, directed by Arun Jose, on MG Road. They were rushed to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to a report in Onmanorama, the accident occurred during the shooting of a chase sequence for her film when her car collided with two motorcycles and overturned.

Two bicycles parked on the street were hit when the stuntmaster’s car, which contained the actors, overturned. The out-of-control vehicle also crashed into another car.

Apart from Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathap and Mathew Thomas, two other motorcyclists were also injured in the accident. A witness told Onmanorama that the car was completely damaged but fortunately the actors were not seriously injured.

After the accident, police cleared the scene of vehicles and filming was halted. Police have filed charges against the driver for reckless driving. It is alleged that no safety precautions were taken during filming.

Apart from the above actors, Bromance also stars Mahima Nambiar, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Binu Pappu. The screenplay is written by ADJ, Raveesh Nath and Thomas P Sebastian. The music for the film is composed by Govind Vasantha.
