Teenager killed in shooting in Northeast Philadelphia – NBC10 Philadelphia

An investigation is ongoing after a teenager was shot dead in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1200 block of Van Kirk Street at 4:04 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy with four gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Police took the teenager to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:39 p.m. No weapons were recovered, no one was injured, and police have not released any information about the suspects.

As of Monday evening, Philadelphia had seen 148 murders so far in 2024, 38 percent fewer than in the same period last year, police data showed.
