Chhay Hisocanphaktra arrested after police chase in Ceres

According to police, he drove through the front yard of a house and rammed the front of a police car during the chase.

CERES, Calif. – A Stockton man who was under police supervision was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle.

According to Ceres Police, it happened around 5:20 a.m. Friday morning when an officer found a stolen vehicle with a person inside near E Hatch and Mitchell streets.

According to police, the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but a chase ensued that led to Turlock.

The officers performed a PIT maneuver, but the driver continued through the front yard of a house and back onto the road.

According to police, the driver, 41-year-old Chhay Hisocanphaktra, rammed the front of a police car and was arrested after officers stopped the vehicle.

They found that Hiscocanphaktra was under community supervision after his release from Orange County Jail. He was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer.
