Pizzeria opens third store in seven months

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Eight months ago, Brian Carroll was running a few food trucks selling pizza.

By July 11, he had opened his third Papa’s Pizza Oven location in seven months — and more are likely to come.

A location opened Thursday at 507 Sunset Drive in Hamburg, where Carroll purchased the former Koz’s Pizza Alley, which had been in business for more than 20 years.

This follows the late May opening at 1537 Union Road in West Seneca, where Mooney’s Bar & Grill closed in October; and the December opening at 155 Lake Ave. in Lancaster, where it took over the former Bozzy’s pizzeria.
