A father and daughter from Utah were killed when a bulldozer fell on their pickup truck over the weekend.

Richard David Hendrickson, CEO and president of outdoor furniture company Lifetime Products, and his 16-year-old daughter Sally died in the accident in Ogden Canyon, the Utah Highway Patrol said in a news release.

According to authorities, the fatal accident occurred at 12:49 p.m. Saturday when a tow truck loaded with a mini bulldozer entered a steep right-hand curve on a highway.

The steep curve allegedly caused the bulldozer to come loose and slide off the tow truck toward Hendrickson’s GMC pickup.

Hendrickson and Sally were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other adult passengers exited the plane with non-life-threatening injuries, the press release said.

In addition to his successful business activities, Richard was a stake president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
