Two dead, three injured in plane crash in Ogden Canyon

OGDEN According to the Utah Highway Patrol, two people died in a car accident in Ogden Canyon on Saturday.

According to UHP, a tow truck was traveling eastbound on State Route 39. According to UHP, a bulldozer was in the bed of the tow truck. An SUV was traveling westbound, pulling a boat.

On Saturday evening, the UHP reported that the bulldozer had fallen from the loading area onto the SUV.

The UHP said it was not sure if the straps had broken or if the bulldozer had not been properly secured.

According to UHP, in addition to the two dead, three others were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The canyon was reopened around 6 p.m.
