Stabbing in Huntington Beach, California leaves 2 dead and 3 injured

Independence Day celebrations in Huntington Beach, California were disrupted by a stabbing that left two people dead and several injured, according to authorities.

Police were called to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon near 16th Street and Pecan Avenue in the Orange County community of Huntington Beach around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, where they found “multiple victims with significant injuries.”

Stabbing under investigation

Huntington Beach police confirmed that two victims died at the scene of the accident and three others were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation. On Friday morning, Huntington Beach police reported they had arrested one person.
