Wandering emu caught in Newtown Township, Pennsylvania. Police are now searching for the owner

NEWTOWN TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) – The police are looking for an owner who may have lost his animal.

This is not the typical search for a lost pet.

Police in Newtown Township, Bucks County, said they spotted an emu wandering the streets.

They caught the animal on Thursday evening at the corner of Stoopville Road and Rosenfield Drive.

Now that they have it, they want to know who it belongs to.

They are asking people in the community to contact the county’s non-emergency number to return the emu to its rightful owner.
