Motorcycle accident in San Diego: David Priest killed on I-8

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man who died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 8 in the College Area last month has been identified by authorities.

According to the San Diego County Coroner’s Office, David Priest, a 59-year-old San Diego resident, was driving a black motorcycle eastbound on I-8 on the evening of June 28.


He was driving between lanes when he collided with the rear of a Honda Pilot, authorities said. The impact threw Priest from his motorcycle and he came to a stop on I-8.

The rescue workers declared the man dead at the scene of the accident. The coroner stated the cause of death was “multiple blunt force injuries.”
