  • Hartly man arrested for reckless endangerment after drink-driving crash

    Hartly, DE — Delaware State Police arrested Steven Wolinski, 26, of Hartly, Delaware, on multiple felony charges following a crash at a residence in Hartly.

    On Tuesday, at approximately 6:05 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding a Chevrolet Silverado that had crashed into an occupied home in the 4000 block of Arthursville Road. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to authorities arriving. Upon arrival, officers conducted a search and located the driver, identified as Steven Wolinski. He was apprehended and transported to Troop 3.

    During the interaction with Wolinski, officers observed numerous signs of impairment, which he refused to confirm through field sobriety tests. A subsequent search of the Silverado uncovered a loaded firearm and open containers of alcoholic beverages. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

    Wolinski was charged with several misdemeanors, arraigned in Magistrate Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Facility on $76,102 secured bail.
