Accident on 61 North: Injuries reported

Shortly after 8 a.m., a collision occurred between a semi-trailer and another semi-trailer on 61 North outside Country Junction.

Injuries were reported in the accident and fuel was leaking from the tractor-trailer. The fuel is leaking from the tractor’s tank and not from a trailer. MDEQ and MEMA were dispatched to the scene to assist with cleanup.

Emergency crews are expected to remain at the scene for some time. Please exercise caution when in the area.
