AKIPRESS.COM – Citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan were involved in an altercation in St. Petersburg, Russia, that escalated into a stabbing incident, Forpost reports.

According to media reports, on the night of June 29, a local resident was walking his dog along the banks of the Glukharka River when he saw a fight between young men. He called the police.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they found that two Uzbek citizens had suffered stab wounds. They told police that they had been arguing with people from Kyrgyzstan.

In the meantime, the Kyrgyz citizens managed to escape in a Hyundai Solaris before the authorities arrived, but they were arrested. One of the Kyrgyz citizens was also injured in the clash and was hospitalized. Another was taken into police custody.
