Big brawl in Jenkins Park

NORWICH, Connecticut (WFSB) – A disturbance in Jenkins Park prompted a large police presence Saturday night.

According to police, officers responded to Jenkins Park on Mechanic Street after a disturbance was reported.

While officers were standing in the area providing police presence, a large brawl broke out.

Two officers attempted to break up the fight, but other people began jumping over the basketball court fence and joining in.

Police said the crowd was out of control and numerous other police agencies were called in.

The investigation is currently still ongoing, police say.

They did not say whether any arrests were made or how many people were involved in the brawl.
