Neighbors of mother and son found dead say it’s been weeks since they were last seen – ABC 6 News

A mother and her son were found dead in a River Glen apartment on Friday.

(ABC 6 News) – Neighbors of a 54-year-old woman and her 30-year-old son found dead in a northeast Rochester apartment say they have not seen the two dead men in several weeks.

Carolyn Kruger, a resident of the same apartment who called police to check on the well-being of the mother and son, said she last spoke to the mother in early June.

Carolyn had asked her mother how she was and was told she was “not so good.”

According to neighbors, the son was struggling with some problems that had led to arguments between him and his mother.

Rochester police believe the bodies had been there for some time and that it was probably a murder or suicide.

The deceased’s neighbors said they thought the two had been away on a trip. But when notes from the apartment’s office began to pile up, packages were delivered but not brought inside, and a window was left open for nearly a month, they began to worry.

Carolyn said she finally decided to call the non-emergency number when a delivery person tried to deliver her medication two days in a row without receiving a response.

The police are still investigating and have not yet released the names of the dead.
