Russell Springs man arrested after accident in Columbia

A Russell Springs man was arrested Wednesday night following a car crash in Columbia.

According to Columbia Police, officers were called to a car crash on Fairgrounds Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday night. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated, which led to the arrest of 65-year-old Gerald Bruso of Russell Springs.

Bruso was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (fourth or higher offense) and driving on a suspended license for drunken driving (second offense).

He was booked into the Adair County Regional Jail.
