One dead, another charged after shooting in Tucson

TUCSON, Arizona (13 News) – Tucson police say one man is dead and another faces manslaughter charges following a shooting early Wednesday, June 26.

TPD stated that officers responded to Banner University Medical Center/South Campus because two people had been reported to be admitted with gunshot wounds.

According to police, a 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his extremities, while the other person suffered life-threatening injuries.

19-year-old Carlos Alcaraz succumbed to his injuries.

According to police, the shooting occurred at a mobile home park near Irvington and Park Avenue.

The investigation revealed that 19-year-old Guillermo Aljandro Molina was holding a firearm next to Alcaraz when the shot went off and both were hit.

Molina was treated for his injuries and then taken to the Pima County Jail.
