LAKEWOOD, NJ (PIX11) – Authorities say two children were found dead in a New Jersey home Tuesday.

Lakewood Police confirmed to PIX11 News that they are investigating the deaths of two young children at a home on Shenandoah Drive. The children were two girls between the ages of 2 and 3, sources told PIX11 News.

According to sources, the girls may have been found stabbed to death in a bathtub.

Authorities have not confirmed the names of the children or their relationship to them. The Ocean County District Attorney’s Office is also investigating.

According to several reports, a woman was arrested in connection with the investigation.
