Princess Anne is recovering well after suffering memory loss following the horse incident in 937

Princess Anne is recovering “well” during her hospital stay after an incident with a horse, her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurencesaid a statement on Tuesday, June 25.

“She’s doing well – slowly but surely,” 69-year-old Laurence told reporters outside Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where 73-year-old Anne was flown in by helicopter on Sunday, June 23, after suffering head injuries in Gatcombe Park.

Laurence assured that Anne was “recovering well” after The Telegraph reported on Tuesday that the king was suffering from memory loss as a result of a concussion.

The exact details of what happened to the horse have not been released publicly, but Buckingham Palace said after the accident that Anne was “in hospital for observation as a precautionary measure and is expected to make a speedy and full recovery.”

In addition to giving an update on his wife’s health, Laurence also thanked the medical staff and fans for their well wishes and support.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team and hospital staff for their expert care – and also to the emergency services who were so wonderful on the scene,” said Laurence. “We are both deeply touched by all the kind messages we have received from so many people near and far. It means a lot to us.”

In addition to Laurence’s words about Anne, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson also provided an update on Monday, June 24, saying: “(Anne) is recovering well, is in a comfortable condition and will be kept in hospital for further observation as a precautionary measure.”
