Man arrested for stealing fireworks stand in Gallatin

GALLATIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man wanted for stealing fireworks was arrested Sunday, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said an employee at MAD Fireworks on Hartsville Pike called early Sunday morning to report a theft in progress. Despite the employee’s efforts, the sheriff’s office said the suspect stole thousands of dollars worth of fireworks.

Sumner County deputies and Gallatin police identified the suspect as Jacob Long, who was taken into custody on Sunday.

The sheriff’s office said Long had two warrants for his arrest for auto break-ins and is now facing charges of theft over $2,500, aggravated burglary and reckless endangerment.
