Girl from Lahore made friends via marriage app and was “raped” by doctor

A girl was allegedly raped by a man she met through a marriage app in Lahore, police said on Thursday.

According to reports, the woman was “raped” by a doctor in the Nawab Town district of Lahore.

A case has been filed against the accused at the Nawab Town police station and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

In her FIR statement, the “rape victim” stated that she met the doctor through the marriage app and met him at the hospital cafe.

“The doctor reportedly took the girl away forcibly and raped her,” the FIR continues.

According to police, the victim’s medical treatment is underway and the accused will also be arrested soon.

Earlier, Karachi police arrested three suspects who attempted to rape a schoolgirl and filmed a video of the rape in the Malir Jafar Tayyar area.

According to reports, the student went to her friend’s house, where some boys tried to rape her and filmed the incident.

Police said the suspects made a video of the victim and threatened to spread it online. A case of attempted rape and extortion was reported.

The case was registered at Malir City police station and the suspects, who had the video on their mobile phones, were arrested.—INP
