MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) — A woman was arrested in Madison and tentatively charged with criminal damage to property after police caught her vandalizing the headquarters of Schoeps Ice Cream.

Madison Police Lt. Caleb Johnson said officers received a call at 11:22 p.m. that vandals were spray painting part of the building.

When they arrived at the scene on Helena Street, police said two suspects ran away. One was arrested shortly afterward with spray cans, paint pens and other items that could be used for vandalism.

The woman, a Belgian citizen, was taken to the Dane County Jail.

MPD officers have seen similar graffiti in other locations around the city and believe the suspects are to blame here as well.
