Three arrested after Ithaca burglary incident

ITHACA, NY (WETM) — Three people were arrested on Tuesday after Ithaca police responded to an active burglary in a residential area of ​​the city.

According to the Ithaca Police Department, 40-year-old Lawrence Williams, 40-year-old April Cornell, and 43-year-old Brian Carter, all from Ithaca, were arrested after they were found inside a home in the 200 block of Cleveland Ave around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.

Police said officers responded to the home for the report of a burglary in progress and found the three people inside with stolen items on them and other items bagged up to be taken from the home.

The three individuals were charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and were processed in Ithaca City Court and taken to the Tompkins County Jail.
