2 arrests, 2 wanted in connection with the shooting of the DJ in Jackson

JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) – Jackson Police have arrested two suspects and are searching for two more suspects in connection with the shooting of a local DJ.

Detective Tommie Brown said 20-year-old Malik Ray and Cortez George were arrested for the murder of 23-year-old Anthony Davis.


According to investigators, Davis was shot after suspects in two vehicles exchanged fire on each other near North State Street and Cedars of Lebanon Drive. One of the vehicles involved, a black Chrysler 300, was recovered from Autumn Place Apartments on Tuesday, January 30.

Brown said officers are still searching for Martravious Douglas, 18, and Aidan Mayes, 18. Both have warrants for their arrest on felony charges.
