Waterbury men arrested for car theft in Harlem

According to the New York Police Department, two men from Waterbury were arrested in Harlem late Friday night for stealing a car at gunpoint.

According to investigators, Jose Rivera and Jomar Crespo, both 21, armed with loaded machine guns, approached a man at the corner of West 146th Street and Bradhurst Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

They say Rivera and Crespo then stole the victim’s car, which police later found at the intersection of Broadway and West 138th Street.

Rivera and Crespo face several charges, including robbery, grand theft auto and illegal possession of a loaded firearm.
