Nine men arrested in prostitution raid, missing woman rescued

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A woman reported missing in California has been reunited with her family after Portland police arrested nine men in a raid on the prostitution scene last Tuesday.

Police focused on a section of Southeast 82nd Avenue and arrested seven men between the ages of 22 and 51. They were charged with solicitation of prostitution and sexual incitement to harassment.


A 46-year-old Portland man was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and first-degree theft. His stolen weapon was confiscated by police. A 24-year-old Gresham man was also taken into custody for second-degree theft.

Police said they had identified other possible suspects and had also towed four vehicles.

The woman from California has been reunited with her family, authorities said.
