TBI issues Silver Alert for missing 78-year-old from Van Buren County, TN

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department Saturday afternoon for a missing man with a medical condition.

According to authorities, 78-year-old Richard Jordan was last seen on Friday, June 14. He was wearing gray shorts and an orange polo shirt with blue stripes. The TBI described him as 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

According to authorities, Jordan may be traveling with his dog in a silver 2017 Chevrolet Impala with Tennessee license plate 0NPQ79.

The TBI said Jordan’s medical condition could affect his ability to return safely without assistance.
