Motorcyclist dies after collision with turning vehicle on Pasco County road

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A man has died after striking another driver while turning on a Pasco County road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

On Friday afternoon, a 53-year-old Wesley Chapel man was driving a Nissan Rogue west on State Road 54.

At the same time, a 49-year-old man from Sneads was riding a Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle eastbound on the same road.

According to FHP, the motorcyclist collided with the Nissan Rogue when it turned directly in front of him at the intersection with Vandine Road.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
