Security guard shot dead in Fremont – NBC Bay Area

According to police, a security guard at a drugstore in Fremont was shot and killed late Thursday night after getting into a fight with another person.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 11 p.m. at the CVS store in the Fremont Hub at the corner of Mowry Avenue and Fremont Boulevard.

According to witnesses, there was a verbal argument between the security guard and another person, which quickly escalated into a “violent confrontation,” police said.

The security guard was shot at least once and died at the scene, police said. The other person suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to a local hospital. Their condition was initially unclear.

The investigation is ongoing.
