Accident on the single-lane Gordon Viaduct leads to traffic diversion

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – An accident on the Gordon Drive Viaduct has led to a traffic diversion.

Iowa DOT cameras show eastbound traffic being detoured from Gordon Drive at Virginia Street. The bridge is currently closed to westbound traffic.

The bridge is currently only accessible in one direction after recent inspections revealed that repairs are needed.

Two-lane traffic is expected to reopen on June 17.
