Wrong-way driver accident on Tulare Street in Fresno sends two people to hospital

FRESNO, CA (June 13, 2024) – Two people were hospitalized following a wrong-way driving crash at the corner of Tulare and M streets in downtown Fresno on Wednesday morning, June 12.

According to Fresno police, a car carrying two people was traveling the wrong way when it ran a red light and collided with a Fresno Unified vehicle. The impact caused the county’s SUV to overturn.

The driver, who was alone in the district’s SUV, was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

A second person from the other car was also taken to hospital.

It is not known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
