9-year-old shot dead in Milwaukee

MORE BREAKING NEWS THIS MORNING: A CHILD WAS SHOT AND KILLED OVERNIGHT IN MILWAUKEE. 12 NEWS MADISON MOORE IS LIVE ON THE SCENE NEAR SWAN AND BROWN DEER ROAD ON MILWAUKEE’S NORTH SIDE. MADISON POLICE SAYS THE SHOOTING HAPPENED JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT AND THEY JUST LEFT THE SCENE, MALLORY. THE CRIME SCENE IS NOW CLEAR HERE ALONG SWAN ROAD. THE LAST MILWAUKEE POLICE OFFICERS ARE JUST LEAVING THE SCENE. BUT A NINE-YEAR-OLD CHILD WAS SHOT AND KILLED HERE. MILWAUKEE POLICE SAY THE SHOOTING HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT, AROUND 12:05 PM, HERE IN THE WOODLANDS APARTMENT COMPLEX. AND THE NINE-YEAR-OLD WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE LATER DIED FROM HIS INJURIES, ACCORDING TO MILWAUKEE POLICE. IT WAS MUCH MORE NEWSYEAR A FEW HOURS AGO. THE ENTRANCE IS BLOCKED OFF WITH POLICE TAPE AGAIN, THIS IS THE WOODLANDS APARTMENT COMPLEX. OUR 12 NEWS CAMERAS SHOW POLICE ENTERING AND LEAVING ONE OF THE APARTMENTS HERE IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX. A SHORT TIME LATER WE SAW MILWAUKEE POLICE BRING IN A CANINE UNIT FROM OAK CREEK. THE DOG WAS SNORING AROUND OUTSIDE WHILE OTHER POLICE SEARCHED THE AREA WITH FLASHLIGHTS. AGAIN THAT FATAL SHOOTING OF A NINE YEAR OLD CHILD THAT HAPPENED JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT AT SWAN ROAD AND BROWN DEER ROAD, WHICH IS JUST INDICATED ON YOUR SCREEN, WHICH ARE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MILWAUKEE. ACCORDING TO MILWAUKEE POLICE DATA, THIS IS AT LEAST THE NINTH CHILD KILLED BY GUN VIOLENCE IN MILWAUKEE THIS YEAR. JUST SIX MONTHS AFTER BECOMING AT LEAST THE NINTH CHILD KILLED IN 2020, MALLORY MADISON POLICE ARE STILL TRYING TO APPRECIATE A SHOOTER, AS OF THE LAST UPDATE FROM MILWAUKEE POLICE. Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that killed a 9-year-old child that occurred just after midnight Thursday on Swan Road near Brown Deer Road. Police said the 9-year-old victim died at the hospital. There have been no arrests and the cause of the shooting is under investigation. Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that left a nine-year-old child dead.

It happened shortly after midnight Thursday on Swan Road, near Brown Deer Road.

According to police, the nine-year-old victim died in hospital.

No arrests have been made and the cause of the shooting is currently under investigation.

According to Milwaukee police, this is the ninth child killed by gunfire in Milwaukee this year.
