AMBER ALERT: 15-year-old kidnapped from Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa – An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old girl in Iowa City.

Ophelia Barton was last seen on June 10 in Iowa City. Officers describe Ophelia as white, 5’10” tall, and 80 pounds. Ophelia has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a short sleeve Disney shirt and red shorts.

Authorities say she was abducted by 42-year-old Lindsey Anne White. White drives a 2014 Jeep Compass Sport with a blue Iowa license plate LIU044. White is described as white, with reddish-brown hair and green eyes.

Police believe White and Ophelia are on their way to Nichols, about a half-hour southeast of Iowa City.
