LPD charges man after allegedly violating protection order and attacking woman with knife

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg police have arrested a man after he allegedly attacked a woman with a knife early Monday morning.

On June 10, just after 2 a.m., Lynchburg police officers responded to a burglary in the 1300 block of Fort Manor Drive. When officers arrived, they reportedly found 30-year-old Shaquielle O’Neil Booker of Lynchburg attacking a woman with a knife.


Officers managed to get Booker to hand over the knife and he was taken into custody.

Police confirmed that the woman is receiving medical treatment and is in a stable condition.

Booker was arrested and charged with:

  • Malicious injury
  • Burglary
  • Violation of a protection order
  • Commit bodily harm to a person protected by an injunction

He is currently being held without bail at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
