Village Grocery Store in Homer victim of burglary – Homer Police Investigation

It was just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, when Homer Police were called to the Village Food Market at 7 South Main Street in the Village of Homer in response to a car alarm. Arriving officers found the windows at the front of the store smashed.

Police quickly secured the perimeter and then cleared the interior of the building, where no one was hiding. Police also checked neighboring businesses to determine if other property had been tampered with.

An investigation into the broken window reportedly revealed that two suspects broke the store’s window, entered the store, stole items and then fled. A description of the two suspects was not yet available.

Anyone with information regarding the break-in, including any type of security cameras, ring cameras, etc., should contact the Homer Police Department at 607-749-2022.
