Ranking the 5 Worst Running Backs the Buffalo Bills Will Face in 2024

Last season, the Buffalo Bills were middle of the pack when it came to stopping the run against their opponents. They ranked 15th against the run in yards given up. It got off to a rocky start: In five of their first six games, Buffalo allowed more than 100 yards on the ground, including three games of more than 140 yards.

Starting in Week 7, the Bills have only allowed four games over 100 yards rushing. This past offseason, the Bills lost defensive linemen Tim Settle and Leonard Floyd who were helpful in supporting the run. DaQuan Jones was brought back on a two-year deal and Brandon Beane signed Duke defensive tackle DeWayne Carter who brings plenty of leadership experience as a freshman.

Buffalo’s defense will look very different in the secondary. The main three between Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde are no longer with the Bills. The defensive line will be similar but with a few changes. Ultimately, Bobby Babich and Sean McDermott will have to make sure this defense doesn’t let a running game get out of hand in 2024.

This list was difficult to put together because of the running backs the Bills will face this upcoming season.
