Sunny weekend in sight; hot temperatures on Sunday

High pressure will keep East Carolina dry from Saturday to Sunday evening, before the next chance of rain sets in on Sunday evening. Sunny, temperatures on Saturday will be 27 degrees Celsius, on Sunday they will rise to 32 degrees Celsius, then the first clouds will move in in the late afternoon.

A cold front will move through Sunday evening, bringing some showers and rumbles of thunder, but severe storms are unlikely. Rainfall amounts will likely remain under 0.50 inches in most areas.

Monday will be mostly sunny again, with a breeze from the north pushing maximum temperatures back up to over 30 degrees. Apart from the possibility of a few showers on Tuesday, most of next week will be quiet.
