Court of Appeal rejects reversal of order to suspend FKF Annual General Meeting

The Court of Appeal has refused to lift orders preventing the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) from holding its annual general meeting pending the outcome of a constitutional dispute pending before the Supreme Court.

The orders were made in Mombasa on Thursday, June 6, by Judges of Appeal Agnes Murgor, Imana Laibuta and George Odunga.

They stated that a constitutional challenge brought by Milton Nyakundi Oriku against the FKF and its top officials took precedence over all other cases.

The three judges referred the case back to Judge Olga Sewe, who suspended the holding of the FKF’s annual general meeting in April this year.

In the case pending before Justice Sewe, journalist Milton Nyakundi Oriku is questioning the legality of the convening of the association’s annual general meeting by the current FKF officials, saying they violated a decision of the High Court in Kiambu.
