LAPD says two people were stabbed in Woodland Hills hostage situation

At least two people were stabbed in an apparent domestic incident in Woodland Hills on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Los Angeles police officers responded to a home in the 24,000 block of Hatteras Street around 8:40 a.m. after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.


The 911 caller said her neighbor, a man in his 30s, was armed with a knife, a police spokesman told KTLA.

Officers found that two people were seriously injured and had suffered stab wounds. According to police, the suspect was holding his own father hostage with the knife.

Officers used a taser on the suspect, took him into custody and transported him to a hospital with unspecified injuries, Sky5’s Rich Prickett reported.
