Nighttime shooting in Tatemville leaves one dead

Savannah police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead overnight. The shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the Tatemville community. Police arrived at the scene on Tatem Street near Staley Avenue to find a victim with serious injuries. The victim died a short time later. SAVANNAH, Georgia —

Savannah police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one person dead.

The shooting occurred Tuesday evening shortly after 11:30 p.m. in the community of Tatemville.

Police arrived at the scene on Tatem Street near Staley Avenue and found a victim with serious injuries. The victim died a short time later.
