Houston anime business owner arrested after trying to meet teenage girl for sex had flowers, condoms and loaded handgun

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A 31-year-old business owner was arrested after authorities said he attempted to meet and engage in sexual acts with a minor Friday morning.

According to Precinct 1 Investigators Alan Rosen of the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Eduardo Ramirez Lepe was arrested over the weekend for online solicitation of a minor, which is a second-degree felony.

Investigators said Eduardo Lepe arrived in Houston to meet a young girl and engage in “sexual acts.”

Instead of meeting the minor, Lepe was confronted by an undercover agent with whom he was unknowingly in communication the entire time via social media.

During the online communications, Lepe planned to meet the minor and take her to a hotel where they would engage in sexual acts.

Lepe told authorities he worked for a Denny’s restaurant in Houston. Additionally, court records show that Lepe is a co-owner of Collection Affection, a Houston company that “buys, sells and trades anime and hobby collectibles such as Pokeman, Funko Pops and other items.”

When Lepe arrived to meet the juvenile, officials said he brought flowers, condoms and a loaded handgun.

Currently, Lepe is incarcerated in the Harris County Jail without bond.

Authorities took the opportunity to encourage parents to closely monitor what their child does online to prevent such things from happening again.
