The tragic incident occurred on May 2 in the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue at a private warehouse in Santa Ana.

Officers from the Santa Ana Police Department responded to the scene after receiving a call from a woman, later identified as 25-year-old Jordan Block. She told police that her boyfriend stabbed her and her uncle, authorities said in a news release posted on social media.

He told KTLA that as he approached the unit where the murders occurred, he saw the elderly man, later identified by police as 64-year-old Brian Xan Martin, and the female victim inside.

Both were later pronounced dead at the scene.

“Just a nice little guy. “He’s been here for a long time,” the witness, who did not want to be named, said of the 64-year-old. “He had a bad back and every time I saw him he was just nice. I would talk to him for a few minutes, just like I did with his niece.”

He added that Martin once told him he was an expert on medieval swords.

The murder-suicide suspect, 25-year-old Cameron Delani Clark, was removed from the unit on a stretcher and taken to the hospital, where he died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds on May 5.

“Within the business unit, officers found and seized a firearm and edged weapons that were related to the crime,” police said.

The two victims and the suspect were all Santa Ana residents.
