Apartment resident injured in fire at Shady Lane complex

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A woman was cooking in her apartment at 10300 Shady Lane when she came out to talk to relatives. The fire started in his apartment and quickly spread to the second floor and attic.

The Houston Fire Department (HFD) was able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other units. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment of minor burns and smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
